1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Travelled on my own.

2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Not really, and probably not.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
A great uncle and a great aunt.

5. What countries did you visit?
Wales.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
More direction in life.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May 8th - the day I met the Backstreet Boys for the first time.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
See above, lol.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Finishing various crafty projects for family.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had the flu for a week in January, but since then I've been good which is very unusual for me.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My bed and the DS Lite.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Brian. He's just that awesome.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Mine, more than likely.

14. Where did most of your money go?
The Boys, and life in general really.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Seeing the Boys. There is a theme here.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2008?
Pretty much anything that was included on the Unbreakable tour.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder? About the same.

ii. thinner or fatter? About the same.

iii. richer or poorer? Richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Tried to go out with friends more.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Sleep. I love sleep, but I waste large portions of my day's off with it.

20. How will you be spending/did you spend Christmas?
With my mum and step dad.

22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
No, fell out of love.

23. How many one-night stands?
None.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Scrubs - always and forever. The Big Bang Theory has made an impact on my life and I really enjoyed Pushing Daises too. [livejournal.com profile] trumpeterofdoom got me hooked on House M.D.. Doctor Who was awesome this year too.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not really, no.

26. What was the best book you read?
I kinda failed with reading this year. I think the only thing I finished was Stardust by Neil Gaiman.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Uh, Rihanna maybe? All the other CD's I bought this year were by artists I've liked previously.

28. What did you want and get?
I got a Brian hug.

29. What did you want and not get?
Probably a ton, but nothing that really mattered enough to remember.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I enjoyed Hancock.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
My dad, his girlfriend and my grandad came to visit and we all went out for dinner. I was 23.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
No boyfriend in the first six months.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Quirky, but comfortable.

34. What kept you sane?
Fandom.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Brian, naturally.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I'm not hugely interested in politics, but it was hard to ignore Obama this year.

37. Who did you miss?
Lots of people.

38. Who was the best new person you met?

Uh, don't be cornered into something you don't want to do and stand up for youself.
