Here's my review, hope you enjoy:
Wembley - London, UK - October 20, 2005
OK, I’m gonna skip a bit here because I know you don’t wanna hear about our travelling, etc. Let me say, the crowd was extremely hyped. And when they brought out the boys mikes the screaming was so loud it was deafening. Louder than it was in the Millennium days for sure. There wasn’t a lot of young fans at all, mostly around my age (20) from what I could tell. OK, now we were sitting in C5 toward the middle, so the view we had wasn’t great. In fact I had to stand on tip toes to actually see the boys.
Highlights:
- Loved when they come out on stage. The lightening effects were really awesome - particulary liked how they lighted the boys for Siberia.
- AJ had a big fan sign wrapped around him, though I couldn’t tell what it was for or what it said.
- Brian’s intro to CTW is so awesome, lol. He was definitely on form and kept cracking jokes every 2 seconds. And yes he called Nick Nickolas Gene Carter. He also did his “who has the NG CD?” Also Brian did the chords on the guitar for a second while Nick played.
- Nick singing “You’ve got me acting like a fool” in BW is the hottest thing ever because the camera zooms right into his face. I woo-hoo-ed that one, let me tell you!
- Climbing the Walls is SO Brian and AJ’s song! I think Brian wrapped his arm around AJ for a moment and they were singing it to each other too. Also, I think it was during this that AJ started dancing around Brian like a complete weirdo, so Brian copied him (naturally!).
- I really loved seeing Siberia live. Too bad the people behind kept talking while Brian was singing. The fake snow is so pretty.
- Nick was impressed by our loudness because he said “You guys are freaking crazy!”
- Oh and when Nick wanted to introduce his ‘girlfriend’ everyone boo-ed, lmao. Of course it was his guitar, lol.
- Brian almost forgot to do his jump for JWYTK, so he quickly ran up the stairs and jumped. He looked surprised when he hit the bottom, lol.
- During Weird World when Nick sings “I’m closing my eyes but I’m starting to see” he covered up Brian eyes, lol. Then when he did “Your beautiful smile” AJ had this awesome smile on his face, and everyone screamed at that so he waved as if to say ‘stop it your embarrassing me’ lol.
And that’s about all I remember from this show. I tried to concentrate but I guess my memory isn’t in gear right now, lol.
Sound Check - London, UK - October 21, 2005
Well as you probably know this didn’t happen. Luckily Liv was at the DLF event and found out from Drew that they (the boys) knew nothing about a sound check today. Drew was trying to arrange something for the people who won because a lot of the people were at the event but nothing did. He basically said to go to the hotel and he would make sure the boys stopped.
So anyway, Liv told me where to go (I was at the hotel) and I met her at the hotel. It was a huge disappointment about the sound check and we were both really mad and upset. I was a little apprehensive about going to the hotel because that is not my thing at all, but I’m glad I went.
Anywho, we waited for a while and finally AJ comes out, quickly followed by Nick and Howie. And that was it, they got in their bus and left.
Then Leighanne came out, not looking very happy I might add, followed by Brian who was carrying Baylee who was fast asleep under a blanket. The got on the second bus, but Brian being incredibly awesome came back out! I was so happy!
He went over to the other side to sign autographs, so I got my NG CD booklet ready just in case. I took quite a few pics. Let me say I know that he’s not been blessed with height but he’s around the same size as me, but most of all I was shocked at how petite he really does seem in person. He’s so skinny, but toned (he was wearing a tight-ish sweater). Two things I wanted to, first touch his shoulder (lol) and second put him in my pocket - he’s so tiny, lol.
Anyway he came over to my side and took my booklet, I was so freaking happy! The fan in front of me was awesome too because she was filming him, and was asking him all the questions so he kept talking in a British accent. She asked him to say hello to the camera so he said “Say hello to the camera” in the accent, lol. Also, he is so pretty up close, pictures don’t do him justice. Also, the fan filming asked him if Baylee was ok (or something like that) and he said “its hard because everyone’s going crazy around him” or something like that anyway. Yesterday at the arena when they brought Baylee outside to go in everyone just went nuts. Remember folks, Baylee is not the one you go to see!
When everyone started crowding around Marcus pulled him out and he went back on the bus.
Soon after Kevin came out and he was Mr. Unsociable too so after that they just left. I don’t blame them because there was a really big crowd, lol. But I’m so happy Brian came out and it definitely made up for the sound check mess.

OK well we had better seats for this show so I was really happy about that. I managed to sneak in my camera too, but my pics didn’t turn out that good. I’ll still be posting them though.
And I will say this, tall people suck major ass! We had a whole bunch in front of us and I’m 5”8 and even I couldn’t see. Luckily we were on the aisle so we had a pretty good view once the show started. I think a lot of people couldn’t see the boys due to tall people which is a shame.
Anyway, onto the hightlights:
- Being in the aisle gave me a great view of all the dance routines which was awesome to see and my mum really enjoyed that too, she was really impressed (she used to be a dancer).
- The crowd wasn’t as deafening as the night before, but at the end everyone was freaking loud.
- During I Still the banner that was there from the night before came back on stage with AJ and I could read what it said, “We Still Love BSB” and a lot of people had put messages on it. It came from LD I think. Brian wrapped it around his neck too at one point.
- A lot of fans were wearing bunny ears and Brian asked for a pair so he put them on, lol. Too cute, lol.
- I could see Leigh watching from the side of the stage, no Baylee though (from what I could see). She didn’t stay for the whole show (unless she moved).
- At one point Marcus came over to Brian and Bri suddenly ran backstage. Not sure what that was about. He was gone for a while during The One (I think) even though we could still hear him talking (introducing the band). He reappeared from the bottom of the stage and jumped back on. No idea where he went or how he got there, lol.
- Nick licking his guitar = fawking hot!
- The bit where they all sit together at the top of the stairs = so cute!
- Brian again did the “who has the NG CD?” then he went “well you know I have really good eyesight, and I don’t think some of you were born yet.” Yes he’s done it before, but it was still funny, lol.
- Howie was down by the crowd at one point and he had trouble getting back to stage, it was so funny. Brian offered to help him out but I think he was being weak on purpose, lol. So when Howie finally got back on stage Howie shoved Brian, lol and they had a little play fight.
- Howie and Brian I think had their arms around each other at some point. That might have been the first show though. I know they definitely did somewhere, lol.
- When they were leaving at the top of the stairs Brian whipped out a bra from either inside his trousers (pants) or from his pocket, I couldn’t really tell. I got a pic I think of that, lol.
