OK, review of Never Gone at the end. First Behind the Music as I've just watched it and WOW. Damn you boys, that's the third time you've made me cry in a week! You know, after being a fan for so long gaining *new* information is like gold, and although nothing particulary new was revealed it did highlight the greater issues with Brian's heart surgery. I've always thought it odd that the other guys weren't there at the hospital with him, and I'm glad they finally kinda highlighted that. I'm surprised Brian went back to the group if that's how they treated him. And Leighanne, now I'm not a huge fan, but she always makes me cry when she's crying about Brian. And did you see those pics of lil Bri when he was in hospital - so sad...
Moving on, Polly talking about Caroline got me going again. Its so sad that Howie couldn't just stop and grieve for his sister.
Kevin's comments when AJ offered coke to him cracked me up. I know its serious, but it was just the way Kevin said it.
Kevin getting choked at the end made me bawl. And yay, it ended on a happy note.
AJ: "We're not gonna be goofy and say 'oh dude I love you' but we do love each other, we do care about each other" (or something like that) just put a huge smile on my face.
OK, onto Never Gone... where to begin? I could sum up in 2 words: LOVE IT! The only song I wish wasn't on there is Poster Girl, it just throws the whole album off. Definitely the first skip song. Second skip song could possibly be JWYTK - I like it, really I do, love the ARok harmony on the second verse, but dude, tone Nick down in the chorus. I love Nick, but I wanna hear the whole group when they're all singing.
Ultimate favourite? Siberia. Because I love broken and sad Brian. I just wanna hug him and tell him its ok. I always wondered what kind of experiences in his life could give him that kind of emotion in his voice because he always seems so damn happy, but going back to BTM I kinda get the feeling that there's a LOT about Brian that the fans are never gonna get, or that he's never gonna talk about. Which is fine, and that's why I love him.
Also loving Weird World, just love the production, the vocals, everything.
Oh yeah, I joined the fanclub. You gotta watch the video if it'll work - Frick and Frack and back BAY-BEE!! Still don't understand why the non US fans have got to pay more, especially considering we don't get in on the pre-sale goodness. There better perks for us at some point, cause I know I'm not the only one annoyed about that.
