I uploaded a ton of new icons to my LJ yesterday, some made by me, others not. Someday I need to tell you how much I love Brian in a white vest (or perhaps a pic spam at [livejournal.com profile] brian_weekly would be sufficient - see how I did that, bwah!). But today I want to talk about how my English skills are seriously lacking. I wrote up the ficlet I thought of the other day, and while it is complete fluff, plot-wise I think it is alright.

Luckily before I posted, I cornered [livejournal.com profile] trumpeterofdoom to have a read and she so very kindly pointed out its many faults. Luckily I could take the constructive criticism, and I think I now have a fic that might actually be worthy of your eyes. However, I'm nervous and still need JM to read the edited version through (damn time zones - bb come back to the UK!) to see if it still has any major faults.

Either way, it has felt good to write something, good or not.

I am totally loving have a new comm to play with.*coughs*[livejournal.com profile] brian_weekly*coughs* I have spent most of the day going through my picture archive, finding stuff for posts in January. So far I am set for AJ's birthday, Nick's birthday, crossover month, threesome day and I have a big giant look back post for new years.

Last night I could not sleep and I ended up thinking up an entire ficlet that concerned Brian/Nick. I keep procrastinating and haven't opened up Word yet to type it up, even though I remember it perfectly which is hugely unusual for me.

It is kind of sucky that Christmas is now over and I have to return to work tomorrow. Definitely not looking forward to waking up at 6am, not at all. Nope. I do have the joy of only working 3 days this week, but still, who would choose work over staying at home, lazing in their pajamas, drinking tea and eating kit kats all day?

So far, I have had a fabulous Christmas. I have eaten far too much, and yesterday drank a little too much (so much so that I have little wine left for today - woe!) but overall a good day was had yesterday. It is only the three of us so it's been quite cosy and relaxing.

I made the mistake of proclaiming my love for Penguins in October so they featured rather a lot in my gifts. A LOT. However, Penguins are awesome so that is okay. Best present I would have to say was a box set of ALL TEN SEASONS OF FRIENDS!!1! Yes, my mum is that awesome.

Today will be spent eating more food, drinking more whatever-is-left, and playing games - followed by some movies. Then Saturday mum goes back to work so I can ressume my preparations for the AWESOME-BRIAN-COMMUNITY-OF-DOOM. It is coming, yo!

ETA: My lack of Christmas-sy icon is really upsetting.

I have decided to have a makeover of sorts before Xmas and that starts with going to get my hair did at a proper hairdressers. So? I hear you cry, well at 23 years of age I have never been to the hairdressers, so I am REALLY nervous. I have had the same hairstyle for years (because my mum's skillz are limited, even though she does a grand job) so it's always been a straight, middle parting affair.

I am hoping to go for a side parting, with it layered mostly because it will mean I can have my hair down without it looking incredibly boring. Also, it will hopefully thin it out because I have insanly thick hair.

I have also made my Backstreet Boys 2009 calendar today, using tour pics from the fanclub because BSB merchandise fails on many practical levels (why no official calendar for 8 years? It upsets me).

And finally, [livejournal.com profile] trumpeterofdoom, you should know I'm listening to JC right now.

This was posted at the fanclub:

The Aj Mclean chat has been rescheduled for tomorrow's show November 22, 2008 in Las Vegas . It will take place between 7:00 - 7:30pm Pacific Standard Time.

This chat will be moderated and questions submitted via the chat room will be answered by AJ via the BSB Cam.

---

This is now 3am my time, I don't think I'm gonna wait up for it this time but seeing as I was up late today I probably won't get to sleep early anyway.

I just bought a Lolcats book, plus a cute fluffy animal pic-a-day calendar from amazon. I may or may not need cheering up this evening. Boo.

I have found a concert buddy for Pink, and she has a car therefore I do not need to fork out nearly £80 for train fare. We may stay the night there, but we're not sure. I think it might be fun to stay, mostly because Birmingham is very very far from North Norfolk. Either way, I'm glad I found someone to go with - but mostly excited by the saving pennies part.

I have just obtained Pink tickets for April 16th in Birmingham. They just released side view tickets today and I have been desperately trying to get aisle seats which I think I've managed to get (God bless the view seating chart thing which actually shows where your seat is!). So yay!

Now all I need to find is someone else who likes her to go with.

Also, this will be my first non-BSB related concert so yay me for spreading my live music wings!

I have purchased a new printer, a Canon MP220 and I love it! I had some magazine scans to print and it did a page in 10 seconds, in perfect colour quality so I'm very impressed. My old Lexmark would have taken at least 90 seconds to do a sheet like this. Also, there was no problems with using it with Vista, so WIN!

Why is it that technology always fails the minute you actually want to use it. I don't use my printer hardly at all, mostly because while it is able, it's never really taken to Windows Vista. Today I wanted to print something and it just will not print at all. It installed the drivers (again!) for it, so it was connected fine but it kept giving me errors.

Also, this would happen when I am lacking on the funds. Le sigh.

Either way, I shall now be jumping ship from Lexmark (you suck oh so very badly) and going to Canon, mostly because that is the cheapest printer in the shop.

And now have some Brian & Baylee to brighten your day. )

I went shopping today and spent rather a large amount of cash on additions to my 'oh damn, it's getting cold now' wardrobe. I bought orange shoes. ORANGE! A new hoodie which I didn't realise until I got it home, but it says 'Rokers World' at the top which I find completely full of win. I got cute pajamas with a giraffe on them!

And then, after I'd spent this ridiculous amount of money a very cute guy in the mall comes up to me and wants to ask me a question. I say okay and he starts asking me about my nails. He then rubbed this thing over a nail and DUDE, it just made it so very soft and shiny that I just had to buy the stuff. Then he told me the price, £29.99! That immediately put me off and I told him that I really can't afford it. So he said, okay I will give you a discount and CALLED ME A CUTIE. How could I possibly refuse? I should also mention that he had a very delicious Italian accent so I was pretty much putty in his hands. So I got the nail rubber thing and some lotions for £25 and he also threw in some black sea soap for my face as a free gift.

I am totally, and completely, gullible.
